Antony Cundy - CEO: Wunderman International Japan

Join us at this month's FCC at Roppongi Hills Club on Tuesday, June 28th for a presentation by top advertising executive Antony Cundy about what marketers should really be asking for from their agency partners, followed by discussion and networking over buffet dinner and drinks from 7pm to 10pm.

Tony moved to Japan in 1995, completing post-graduate studies at Tokyo University before starting his career in marketing. His first experience was on the Lexus brand, for a small Japanese company called CMC.

Tony began his advertising career in earnest at Hakuhodo Lintas, working on brands for Unilever, Nestle, Johnson and Johnson and GM. He then spent 6 years at DDB first as GM of the Japan office where he ran the Volkswagen business for 4 years and then running the strategy and account services for McDonald’s across Europe, based in London.

Returning to Japan in 2010 he became head of planning and account services for Publicis’ main agency in Japan, beacon communications, where he created strategies and campaigns for all of the brands at Philip Morris, Nike, BMW Mini, Coleman, P&G, McDonald’s, Symantec and Mentos.

He joined Wunderman in September 2014 and has seen the agency evolve from one solely for Microsoft to a creatively-driven and data-inspired unit working across a plethora of clients, from shoes to DJ turntables.
